Fanningstown Castle was granted a determination by the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands in June 1998 under Section 482 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, deeming it to be a building of significant historical, architectural and aesthetic interest to the people of Ireland.
In accordance with the requirements of this determination, public access is afforded to Fanningstown Castle.These are the dates on which Fanningstown Castle will be open to the general public in 2008.
- From January 3rd to January 25th inclusive
- From July 23rd to July 24th inclusive
- From August 24th to October 3rd inclusive
These are the dates on which Fanningstown Castle is open to the general public in 2007.
- From January 3rd to January 24th inclusive
- From May 14th to May 18th inclusive
- From August 26th to August 31st inclusive
- and from September 1st to 29th inclusive
These are the dates on which Fanningstown Castle was open to the general public in 2006.
- From January 7th to 23rd inclusive
- From May 1st to May 6th inclusive
- From June 25th to June 30th inclusive
- And also from September 2nd to September 30th inclusive
The opening hours on these dates are from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm
The following are the admission fees:
- Adults EUR 6
- Children, students and Old Age Pensioners EUR 3
- Family Rate (2 adults, 2 children) EUR 12
