Activities - Horse Racing

Limerick Racecourse at Greenpark in Limerick City held it's last meeting in March 1999 having been operating for over 100 years. The new Limerick Racecourse at Greenmount in Patrickswell opened it's doors in October 2001.

It is a wonderful facility and is just a short drive from you in Patrickswell, if there are races on during your stay at Fanningstown Castle it is recomended as a great day out.  If you have a celebration or would like to enjoy a good meal with family or friends you may like to consider taking a table at the Panoramic restaurant where you can enjoy the races with Tote facilities and the resident tipster is fun if you are unsure of the horses.

There are also many events held at Greenmount Park Conference and Exhibition centre and if you are exhibiting you may like to consider having your managers and staff stay at Fanningstown Castle.
